Change background color to see how color can help you:
What We Do
We conduct two sessions, one being Diagnostic and the other being Treatment.
Diagnostic Session : This is to discover whether you or your child have the Irlen Syndrome. The session takes the form of a number of questions and practical exercises, then trial of colours to find the one that is most helpful. The session usually takes 60-90 minutes.
Treatment Session : This is to prescribe the exact tint which will help the most. It may be one colour or a combination of several colours. The time to do this varies from 3/4 hr to 3 hrs, depending on the individual person.
As people often come long distances to get to the Bathurst Centre, I often take the two sessions together (when the result of the first session is clearly positive). If the tinting process is not straightforward a return visit will be needed.
If the two sessions are combined, the client has the option of paying for the Diagnostic Session and taking home an acetate to try out. Once it is clear that the acetate is working, people only have to pay for the balance due and the Tints and the tints can be ordered from our Lab in Western Australia.
The tints are usually placed in frames by your usual optometrist.
Charges : Irlen Clinics all have a policy of not listing charges on the Internet.
However. It will be my pleasure to let you know our very reasonable changes when you ring to discuss the needs of your child or yourself.
